With an ever growing slate of dramatic short and feature films, Jas embarked on a journey to not only write, but direct, produce and distribute thought-provoking narratives to audiences who can relate, with each film holding a personal touch of her life experiences.
Through unwavering determination to make her vision of a film production company a clear reality, it was natural for the formation of JEC Productions.
The films housed under the company’s umbrella dare to explore taboo themes like suicide, mental health, religion, love, and relationships, all subjects that are able to capture the diversity and complexity within the black community.
We're breaking boundaries and sparking conversations while challenging conventions and weaving stories that resonate deeply. JEC Productions is more than just a company that creates content. JEC Productions craft experiences that inspire and provoke; not only thought but change.
Born and raised in Saint Louis, MO, Jas graduated HBCU, Harris-Stowe State University, earning a Bachelors in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship.
When not in production or writing, Jas enjoys shopping, traveling and spending time with her family.
